I am honoured to have become club captain for 2010 and am looking forward to my year with enthusiasm and excitement.
The captain's role is to serve the members in such a way that the club moves forward, at the same time respecting those traditions which are important in any golf club. He must always be open to new ideas. and should endeavour to enhance the reputation of the club, and to foster a friendly atmosphere.
The qualities I value in golf are integrity, honour, fair play, etiquette, and above all sportsmanship.
In addition to being the figurehead for the club, I'm also your representative on the management committee. If you have any ideas/moans/issues, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will raise your points with the committee at the monthly meetings.
I wish all golfers a great year.
